What is GWOLLUM?

The GWOLLUM package contains a set of software tools designed to perform GW analyses. Most of the code source is written with the C++ language and it also heavily relies on the CERN ROOT libraries (also C++).

GWOLLUM was designed as a set of libraries and applications organized in sub-packages:

  • Utils: this is the tool box of GWOLLUM. Utils routines are used by every GWOLLUM packages.
  • Time: functions for time conversion and applications.
  • Segments: class designed to manage time segment lists.
  • Network: class designed to describe a network of GW interferometers.
  • Streams: class designed to read and transform data streams.
  • Triggers: class designed to manage and store triggers.
  • Inject: class designed to inject signals in data streams.
  • Coinc: class designed to perform coincidence between trigger sets.
  • Scripts: a set of shell scripts is also available to make your life easier.

GWOLLUM's friends

Many packages depend on GWOLLUM libraries. The documentation of GWOLLUM's friends is centralized here.

  • Omicron: excess energy search pipeline based on the Q-transform
  • G2G: glitch-to-glitch algorithm
  • DQperf: tools to measure the performance of data quality vetoes
